Chimney Noise Control, Haicheng Hengsheng Casting

The induced-draft fan and chimney ducting of the 200 m2 sinter flue-gas desulphurisation and DeNOx system at Haicheng Hengsheng Casting produced considerable noise that affected employee wellbeing. The chimney was acoustically lagged and a silencer was fitted at its outlet, with a clear reduction that was well received by the plant's staff.
